Is anyone else dreaming of the post-isolation holidays they’re going to be taking? When lockdown lifts there’s still a chance that international travel will be restricted, so we thought we’d highlight some top UK stay-cation destinations to get your holiday fix without travelling too far afield - including some of the not-so-typical locations!

Arran, Scotland
A small island just a 55 minute ferry ride off the west coast of Scotland, Arran boasts rocky mountains with climbing routes as well as more peaceful walks and plenty of beaches (fun fact: Scotland’s first ever nudist beach was located on Arran!). There’s a great local community with independent shopping for locally made clothing, food and of course whiskey, plus incredible wildlife spotting opportunities including golden eagles, red stags, red squirrels, harbour seals and otters.

Peak District, Derbyshire
The Peak District is a breath-taking British holiday destination, with high moorland plateaus and rolling green hills and plenty of rivers and springs. Whether you’re a walker or a cyclist, scrambler or climber there’s something for you here. Want to take it easy? Check out the array of local markets and country fairs, visit one of the local museums or enjoy some yummy local food and drink. Plus for the adrenaline junkies out there, Alton Towers is a stone’s throw away!

North Devon, Devon
Known as England’s Adventure Coast, North Devon is an idyllic seaside destination with water sports activities from surfing to boat trips, golfing, and quaint local villages and towns – not to mention famous Devonshire cream teas.
