A recent survey conducted by a big department store revealed interesting stats on female buying habits based on their geographic location. The store’s ‘How We Shop, Live and Look’ report revealed that Scottish women are 35 percent more likely than any other part of the UK to buy lingerie which gives shape and control.
According to research, the Scots are following the likes of Lady Gaga and Kim K in wearing underwear that supports and shows off their curvy figures. We salute you for bringing back the Bridget Jones pants!
Shapewear can be used to enhance any figure and provide support and a flattering silhouette. Gone are the days of the boring and down right granny-looking shapewear, as lingerie companies are now designing a range of shapewear that would make anyone think twice about whether they should ditch the thong or go for comfort and support!
The survey also revealed that along with the Scots, women in the north west of England are more likely to buy lingerie in bigger sizes and favour brands who cater for their needs. The report also stated that London women prefer push-up bras compared to women in north-east England who prefer something a little more saucy like suspenders and leopard-print knickers.
